IceStar padded forward about a fox-length and was standing in front of LightPaw. "No" she meowed keeping her voice in the same tone. "He has left." IceStar slowly reached her head out until it was resting on LightPaw's shoulder. "I'm sorry this has happened." she meowed softly, "I'm so sorry!"

"it's not you're fault.." She mumbled. Suddenly her shock wore off and despair took on, And she burst into tears. "It was horrible!" She cried. She started mumbling different things, Somewhere in there she mumbled, "Silentclaw" with some other words. But that one word would tell icestar who did it. Lightpaw was in hysteria, Mumbling random things like a cat gone mad, followed by crying.

IceStar was filled with rage. She knew SilentClaw, when she was an apprentice, after AutumnStar died, on the journey to this forest, she fancied him for he was strong and silent. When they got to this home, the two had tried to see each other, but with IceStar being leader, it didn't last long and the two soon said a teary goodbye. Now all the AutumnClan leader felt for him was hate! She said soothing words to LightPaw and licked the apprentice's head, but her heart wasn't in it, she was to busy changing her plans for a raid on MoorClan. Now she was planning on spilling some blood!

Soon Lightpaw calmed down. She just silently cried. This was overwhelming her so much she felt she would burst. She thought she'd go mad! but.... Sadly now she had kits to care for, and whether she liked it or not she would have to care for them. She also wondered what everyone else would say when she went back to camp... She shook the thought of and quietly mewed, "Maybe.... Maybe we should go back to camp." her voice still a bit shaky.

"A storm is coming!" IceStar warned, "StarClan is angered by what has been done, this storm will not be a merciful one!" she looked sadly at LightPaw. "It would be smarter and safer to spend the night here in the shelter of the cave and go back to camp in the morning when the storm has peaked!" IceStar now scented worry in the air, and understood why the apprentice would be worried. "The clan does not have to know what happened, for all they suspect you were curious of the territory and didn't want to wait on your mentor and went exploring on your own!" she smiled weakly at LightPaw. "Now their worried you got lost or attacked by MoorClan, though no one will loudly claim the second one, for no one wants to accept the idea of a war!" IceStar looked trustingly at LightPaw, "If you don't want them to know, the only cats we have to tell are GardeniaFlower and my medicine cat!"

Too tell the truth, Icestar was kinda scaring Lightpaw, She wasn't used to yelling, She was a quiet cat and she was used to being quiet and ignored.
"No that's not why I'm worried. I'm worried because of what they will say about.. him. Not what they think about me going off by myself." She answered softly, not bearing to say his name again. "I... I don't want war over me." She mewed even softer, barley loud enough to hear. "An i don't care if they know." She added.

IceStar sat down beside LightPaw, "LightPaw, I'm sorry for all this!" she meowed. "The cat that did this is the MoorClan deputy, he used to be a good cat but now..." she trailed off and looked at the apprentice next to her with pain in her eyes. "If cats know he did this they will overthrow him, but some cats will say he didn't decide this on his own, they will say things like it was a whole clan effort, and that it was an order from FlashStar!" IceStar shook her head in dismay, "Their is so much tension between the clans right now that any little thing could cause fighting, but this!" she looked around the cave and at LightPaw, "This isn't a little thing, this is a very big and very serious thing!" IceStar sighed and rested her eyes on the apprentice once more. "This is something that would cause war, but not for the wrong reasons!" she shrugged and continued, "Unless he really is just a crazy cat that does this for pleasure! In which case he needs to be destroyed but for that to happen their would have to be a war, for he will no doubt deny doing this!"

She shook her head almost violently, "No, Please don't cause war over me!" She asked, She knew it was helpless but she had to try. And also crouched a bit, The yelling was really scary, She didn't like it, and this was a reflex,

"I'm sorry" was all IceStar could say, for she could see no way around this mess without their being a war or at least a bloody fight. Sighing the young leader paced across the cave floor thinking and thinking on the coming events. Though she did not want to wait, IceStar knew that she could bring this up at the gathering in front of all the clans. She shook her head, no this is a matter between AutumnClan and MoorClan. The others needn't be concerned when it didn't apply to them. Should they act as soon as possible or wait until the kits were born? IceStar knew the smartest move would be as soon as possible so FlashStar and SilentClaw wouldn't argue that she waited to long to bring this up for it to be true. However, she contradicted herself, if we wait for the kits to be born chances are at least one will resemble it's father, in that case they would have proof it was SilentClaw for no cat in AutumnClan has his tabby pelt or color! IceStar paced and paced, not knowing exactly what to do!

Lightpaw just looked down, then motherly instinct took control. "Well... Maybe we should just sleep and then go back to the clan when we wake." She mewed. Lightpaw moved a bit and when into the dark corner she had been in earlier and lay down to sleep.

IceStar nodded and curled up next to the apprentice. Thunder rolled overhead and lightning flashed, though even if they were looking the two she-cats would not have been able to see the light for they were so deep in the cave. Rain pounded overhead, flooding the grounds above but the cave entrance was high enough that no rain got in. IceStar shivered and closed her eyes, sleep claimed her almost immediately and it was dreamless... for once!
